Mesmerizing, vintage 1965 hand-painted artwork on rock paperweight. Designed by a Florida West Coast artist Dorie, signed and numbered piece. Beautiful in person and quite enchanting!
This fun and fabulous paperweight, belonged to my father's Aunt who named it "Estelle". It sat on the desk of her home office for decades. She lovingly referred to Estelle as a member of the family and felt as if it watched over the house and all in it.
Estelle has been beautifully painted and her expression and intense stare reveals both strength and sensitivity. She is graceful yet a bit vulnerable. A really special piece that will evoke the most interesting conversations, with all who come into contact with her. 3.5" x 3" x 1.25".
