the shade is composed of 27 vertical glass cylinders arranged radially around a metal structure. Their heavily textured surfaces beautifully refract and diffuse the light, creating the characteristic ice-like effect associated with doria lighting. The composition is finished underneath with a central element made from the same textured glass.

the metal components have a warm bronze/brass-toned finish with natural patina, providing an attractive contrast to the transparent glass. This is a less commonly seen finish compared with versions of the same construction featuring silver-toned metalwork.
