a slender, minimalist design characteristic of european modernism of the period. The cabinet is finished in beautifully figured teak veneer with a warm natural tone and stands on tall, tapered legs.

the central section features a lockable drop-front writing compartment. When opened, the front becomes a spacious writing surface, while the light-toned interior contains shelves and a distinctive organizer with shaped dividers for documents, letters and stationery. An open display shelf is positioned above the writing compartment, with an additional open storage space at the base.

this example consists of two original elements from the rt 200 modular system – type 16 and type 13, as confirmed by the surviving manufacturer’s labels from heinrich riestenpatt kg, möbelfabrik, wittlage. The labels also retain information about the original retailer, möbelhaus wilhelm & söhne in hanover.

good vintage condition with natural signs of age and use. Original key included.
