both compositions depict the landscape of western jutland (vestjylland). Fields, roads, water and the horizon are reduced to bold, geometric planes of green, blue and grey. The loose handling of paint and restrained composition place the works somewhere between figurative landscape painting and abstraction.

both works are signed on the front with the monogram kl. The reverse sides retain handwritten titles and the artist’s signature.

the larger work is titled “vestjylland – forårsmorgen” – “western jutland – spring morning.”

the smaller work is titled “vestjysk forår – skitse” – “west jutland spring – sketch.”

the paintings are presented in gilded frames. They work particularly well together as a small, cohesive diptych and are offered exclusively as a pair.
