materials: made of wood and thick mahogany veneer, the chest of drawers features a beautiful natural grain, particularly visible on the fronts of the large drawers. It retains its turned wooden knobs.

features: this english chest of drawers opens with five drawers: two drawers side by side in the upper section and three large drawers spanning the entire width. Each drawer retains its keyhole. The front is framed by two rounded uprights, and the whole rests on a plinth ending in small ball feet. A typical construction of large english chests of drawers from the 19th century.

restoration: the chest's structure has been completely overhauled and re-glued to restore its full sturdiness. The top has been lightly sanded to minimize the numerous stains and then protected with a tinted wax to match the color of the piece. The entire chest of drawers has been carefully cleaned, treated with linseed oil, and then polished to revive the wood while preserving its antique patina.

condition: solid and stable on its feet. Note a few small chips in the veneer due to its age, as well as a slight crack on the left handle of the lower drawer. These marks do not affect the sturdiness or functionality of the piece.
