Lamp by Aldo Londi for Bitossi
A rare and exceptional large ceramic table lamp designed by renowned Italian artist Aldo Londi for Bitossi Ceramiche, Montelupo Fiorentino, Tuscany, dating back to the 1960s.
This extraordinary piece embodies the refined craftsmanship and artistic experimentation that characterize mid-century Italian design.
The lamp features a richly textured cylindrical ceramic base, finished with a lustrous silver glaze, finely engraved and decorated with Londi's signature geometric motifs.
Aldo Londi joined the Cav. G. Bitossi & Figli factory in 1946, first as artistic director and then as a collaborator for over fifty years.
The history of Bitossi Ceramiche begins in the heart of Tuscany, a few kilometers from Florence: in Montelupo Fiorentino, along the banks of the Arno River, where the culture of ceramics has shaped the lives and work of its people for centuries.
Founded in 1921 by Guido Bitossi as Manifattura Maioliche Artistiche Guido Bitossi.
It is in excellent condition and has no defects. It is in working order and is sold without a lampshade. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
