The ultimo table was designed by sonia loosli and beat hübscher, founders of the swiss company tossa. The design dates back to 2001. Like every piece from tossa, it is handcrafted and unique – not least because it was custom-made to order. This particular model, like the original owner's, was crafted from birch plywood with a table height of 73 cm, a length of 190.5 cm, and a depth of 80 cm. The tabletop is 40 mm thick, and the legs are 90 mm wide. The mitered construction and manufacturing process give the table a sculptural quality, as if it were carved from a single piece of wood. The visible layers of high-quality birch plywood create a striking visual contrast. The wood's surface has a wonderfully natural feel thanks to its white-pigmented oil finish. The package also includes a small bottle of the manufacturer's pigmented oil for occasional table maintenance. This piece has an attribution mark,
