a particularly elegant piece thanks to its proportions, clean lines, and ingenious writing surface concealed behind the drop-front.

the desk features an interesting maker's mark on the back, legible as "l50 4 61," which could provide further clues about its origin and manufacture.

its design bears strong similarities to marian grabinski's early creations for the scandinavian market, particularly the furniture sold by ikea in the early 1960s. However, the attribution to ikea is not considered definitively established.

a rare piece, particularly interesting for a collector of modernist furniture and 1960s design.
