An elegant vintage tabletop chafing dish, dating back to the second half of the 20th century, authentically Moroccan.
The piece features the original manufacturing marks on the bottom of the inner bowl, including a circular stamp in Arabic characters ("Suna'a" - Handmade) and the craftsman's mark "GG," testifying to the piece's authenticity.
It features a magnificent retractable rotating hemispherical dome, entirely original and crafted from lightweight metal, finely hand-engraved with embossed geometric and floral motifs.
The three-legged support structure and internal tray have been reinterpreted following the Wabi-Sabi aesthetic philosophy. The base has been hand-painted with matte black water-based paint, deliberately enriched with artistic, textured scratches that reveal the metal underneath.
This contemporary intervention creates a fascinating textural contrast with the dome's original patina, transforming the piece into an eclectic and highly refined unique piece.
It is in excellent condition. The dome retains its original patina with slight signs of oxidation that testify to its age.
The base has been decorated with a matte artistic finish and an exposed scratched effect. The opening mechanism is smooth and fully functional.
