The ceramic features a delicate, finely illustrated natural botanical motif, depicting blackberry branches with fruit and wildflowers, enlivened by the flight of a butterfly and a dragonfly. A romantic and luminous design, typical of Villeroy & Boch's manufacturing tradition.
The back of the tile bears the historic green circular logo stamped under the glaze.
The perimeter frame is finely crafted with a geometric groove pattern and complemented by two sturdy handles and feet. Crafted from a light alloy of the period (silver-plated aluminum or fine pewter), it ensures aesthetic elegance and maximum ease of use.
Solid and perfectly stable construction. The ceramic tile features a splendid authentic patina with a widespread web of craquelure and slight surface defects related to age (small inclusions and signs of aging visible in the photos), which certify its historicity without compromising its charm and use.
