An elegant vintage soup tureen in fine German porcelain, produced by the historic Seltmann Weiden factory in Bavaria, Germany, in the mid-20th century (approximately 1950s or 1960s).
This piece belongs to the celebrated "Theresia" collection, presented here in a refined and unusual color scheme featuring floral bouquets in shades of emerald and sage green, beautifully paired with gold trim on the wavy rim, handles, and top knob.
The rounded, fluted shape and sinuous, molded handles lend the piece a sophisticated neoclassical feel, making it perfect both for enhancing a formal table setting and as a sculptural decorative element for contemporary interiors.
The lid features the classic recess for a ladle.
The original crowned manufacturer's mark is engraved under the base, along with the series name and serial numbers (23365 20).
The tureen is in excellent condition, structurally intact and free of cracks, chips, or restorations. It shows slight, natural wear on the gold gilding, mostly on the top knob, consistent with its age and use. This historic patina highlights its authenticity, leaving the green floral decoration vivid and intact.
