Art Deco Style Pendant by Vianne, France late 20th Century. The shade is from the factory whilst the metal base and wiring is new. About Vianne: Artisans started the factory in 1928 in the Bordeaux and Lot-et-Garonne region of southwest France. Specialty: It was the last active mouth-blown glass factory in all of France.
Closure: The historic factory closed down several years ago. Lighting: The factory was best known for glass lamp shades and decorative lamps.
Designs: Collectors prize their 1970s egg-shaped table lamps, mushroom lamps, and opaline glass pieces. Styles: They used techniques like glass paste and etched details in vibrant or pastel colors. Collector Value Rarity: Because the factory is closed, original Vianne glass is rare and limited. A large portion of the remaining factory inventory was bought to preserve its legacy.
