Birch and elm planter with a curved structure, featuring turned spherical elements, a slatted surface, and circular lateral supports. Scandinavian production, 1940s.
Made in Scandinavia in the 1940s, this birch and elm planter features an unusual construction, in which thin linear elements alternate with curved profiles and a succession of small turned spherical elements. Arranged along the uprights and crosspieces, these details introduce a recurring decorative motif that gives the structure a particularly recognizable rhythm. Two circular supports are placed at the ends, while the upper part is traversed by a series of parallel slats. Designed for displaying plants and flowers, it belongs to the Swedish Blombord typology, a characteristic of Scandinavian domestic interiors of the period. Good condition. May show signs of age. Please refer to the photographs carefully.
