This striking lamp embodies the sculptural ambition of Italian design at the beginning of the 1970s, when lighting increasingly transcended pure functionality and entered the realm of collectible art. Executed entirely in solid brass, the lamp is dominated by an oversized rhubarb leaf, richly embossed and carefully chased to capture the organic texture and veining of the natural form. The original patina has been preserved, lending depth and warmth to the surface and reinforcing the piece’s authenticity and age. Mounted on a refined circular brass base, the gently curved stem supports the leaf in a poised, almost floating position. The light source is concealed, producing an indirect glow that softly reflects off the textured brass, creating a poetic and atmospheric presence in both intimate and architectural interiors.
