Its design features a red gorgonian embedded in a thick block of translucent black epoxy resin.

The block is mounted on a brass structure, which rests on a black lacquered wooden base. The inclusion remains visible on the edges of the block, enhancing the depth of the design.
An original label under the base identifies the model as “Caraïbes.” The lamp is presented with a new white cotton lampshade. The lampshade is not original.
