Hagoita are traditional Japanese decorative paddles associated with Hanetsuki, a historic Japanese New Year game. Over time, elaborately decorated Hagoita became treasured decorative and collectible objects, often displayed as seasonal or cultural art.
This striking pair offers wonderful visual appeal with its richly detailed textile figures, traditional Japanese aesthetic, and substantial scale. An exceptional choice for collectors of Japanese folk art, Asian decorative arts, or distinctive statement pieces for an eclectic, traditional, or global-inspired.
