I have owned this wonderful example of 19th Century American Still Life painting by acclaimed Philadelphia painter J. D. Sorver for thirty years. I guess it's time to pass it along. Years ago, I placed another of his works in the historical Centerton Inn in New Jersey. Sorver is a highly sought after artist and has brought far higher prices at auction.

Condition is excellent. The canvas was placed on a linen support many years ago, before I owned it. The frame shows a few repairs.
