Drawing inspiration from 1930s French Art Deco textiles, this piece offers an authoritative study in architectural line and spatial contrast. The field features an asymmetrical central maze composed of interlocking rectangular corridors, stepped crenellations, and fine micro-checkerboard grid panels. Surrounding this central geometric core is an expansive outer field patterned with an allover matrix of dotted star-like rosettes. The interplay between the dense, disciplined gridwork of the central motif and the open, rhythmic dot pattern of the perimeter creates a multi-layered visual landscape that honors early 20th-century European modernist design while demonstrating extraordinary structural weaving precision.

The palette pairs a warm camel-tan foundation with dark taupe-brown and vibrant red accents. Subtle abrash variations within the hand-spun wool yield gentle tonal shifts across the camel background, imparting an antique patina reminiscent of period French gallery pieces. The dark taupe and charcoal lines define the inner labyrinth and nested square grids with sharp graphic definition, while the brick-red dots introduce a warm, energetic cadence across the outer field.
