Vintage Lawrence Unlimited “Titus I” framed decorative print, identified on the original reverse label as Item No. TRD 493.
The composition features a classically inspired male and female figural scene framed by grapevine motifs and elaborate Renaissance-style decorative borders with stylized animals, scrolling ornament and floral elements. The deep black ground is accented with muted turquoise blue, burgundy, cream and gold, giving the piece a sophisticated Neoclassical / Grand Tour appearance.
Presented beneath glass with elaborate layered matting and a substantial antiqued gilt frame with molded classical detailing. The large square format gives the piece excellent visual presence and makes it well suited above a console, chest, desk or as part of a traditional gallery wall.
Original Lawrence Unlimited identification label remains attached to the reverse, identifying the work as Titus I, TRD 493.
