DESCRIPTION

Sculptural and architectural, the RH Savile Grand Rectangular Sconce by renowned San Francisco designer Jonathan Browning is a striking study in light, transparency, and substantial material.

At the center of the design is a monumental block of K9 crystal glass, carved with a concave channel that surrounds and showcases the light source. When illuminated, the substantial crystal captures, refracts, and reflects the light within, creating remarkable depth and luminosity. When unlit, the crystal takes on an almost weightless transparency within its strong architectural frame.

The Bronze version is handcrafted from sand-cast solid brass and K9 glass, a high-quality optical glass traditionally used in lenses and prisms. The warm metal finish provides a sophisticated contrast against the clarity and substantial scale of the crystal.

At 20 inches high and an impressive 43 pounds, Savile has considerably more presence than a conventional wall sconce and works beautifully as architectural lighting in an entry, hallway, bath, covered exterior space, or flanking a statement feature.

This particular piece was briefly installed and very lightly pre-owned. It presents beautifully overall, is ready for installation, and is housed in its original box.

This RH Savile Grand Rectangular Sconce was briefly installed and very lightly pre-owned and presents beautifully overall.

There are minor signs consistent with its prior installation, including light metal etching behind the glass component. This area is concealed from normal view once the fixture is assembled and installed and does not detract from its overall presentation.

Beyond these minor installation-related traces, the fixture presents beautifully and is ready for installation.

As with any previously installed lighting fixture, minor evidence of mounting, handling, or installation may be present upon close inspection.

The sconce is currently housed in its original RH box for storage and transport.

INSTALLATION

Savile is a substantial architectural fixture weighing approximately 43 lbs.

The fixture is designed for vertical, hardwired installation and requires installation by a licensed electrician. Because wall fixtures weighing more than 25 lbs. may require additional structural support, appropriate wall bracing should be evaluated at the installation location.

Its Wet UL certification allows the fixture to be installed indoors or outdoors, including locations that may receive direct exposure to moisture. See less
