Extra large abstract mixed media painting, signed "James Morgan" in the lower left. Framed, 76" x 50" overall.
A bold geometric abstract composition drawing on Art Deco Revival and Memphis Group-style influences, built from angular, faceted shapes radiating from a central point. The artist combined flat acrylic or oil color blocks (deep teal, magenta, cobalt blue, and purple) with crinkled metallic silver and copper foil accents and heavily textured, raised impasto passages, all outlined in painted gold. The bold color blocking and fractured geometric forms echo the postmodern Memphis design aesthetic popularized in the 1980s.
Excellent vintage condition.
