Striking Art Deco table lamp featuring a cast metal base formed by a pair of stylized eagles with wings raised in symmetrical arc, framing a stepped cylindrical glass shade. The shade is executed in ribbed uranium glass, glowing bright green under illumination and shifting to a warm amber tone when lit by a standard bulb. The birds are crisply modeled with simplified, geometric plumage consistent with interwar Deco design, their bodies anchored to a stepped circular base with fluted edge detail. A brass socket assembly with side-mounted switch completes the composition.
Figural lamps of this type were popular during the late 1920s and 1930s, blending classical symbolism-strength, vigilance, and symmetry-with modernized Art Deco form. Uranium glass shades were favored for their luminous quality and dramatic visual effect, especially in low light, making lamps like this both functional and decorative focal points in living rooms, offices, or club interiors. The combination of figural metalwork and glowing glass places this firmly in the ornamental lighting tradition of the period.
