A. Hoen & Company — America's oldest lithographic firm, established in Baltimore in 1835 — documented that same harbor, that same fort, and that same poem across 150 years of printing history.

This commemorative portfolio pairs two lithographs that demonstrate exactly what 150 years of craft development looks like. The first is a five-color reproduction of the original 1814 battle scene lithograph — the same view Key would have witnessed from the water. The second is a flat-bed stone press reproduction of Francis Scott Key's original poem text, printed in the same manner as work produced for August Hoen in 1835.

The third piece — the Notice to the Public — is signed by Townsend Hoen, President, and contextualizes both prints within the company's 150-year legacy. That legacy includes the original nine-color Buffalo Bill poster produced for William Cody in the 1880s.
