Two centuries of craft behind a single object is not nothing.

The blue and white floral pattern with gilt banding is classic Gien — refined without being stiff, decorative without being fussy. The kind of piece that has always known exactly what it was and has never needed to announce it.

At 9 inches tall it reads as a statement piece on a kitchen shelf, a bathroom counter, a dining room sideboard, or a bookcase that needs one considered object among the books. Fill it with garden stems. Leave it empty. Either way it belongs wherever you place it.

A hairline crack to the top of the handle is present — the piece is fully stable and entirely suitable for display. Gien maker's mark clearly visible on the base.
