This beautiful light fixture was entirely handmade between the 1950s and 1960s. It features a round, bent rattan shade, enhanced by exquisite hand-woven wickerwork. This lantern is completed by an elegant bent rattan chain. It is sold wired and tested, compatible with both American and European standards, and uses a single E27 bulb.

Completely handmade, perfectly proportioned, in exceptional condition, and a beautiful light honey color. Its total height, including the rattan chain, is 72 cm.

This chandelier was designed by Louis Sognot, France, 1950s-1960s. Louis Sognot was a French designer best known for his elegant furniture, crafted from a blend of rattan and wood, which gave his creations a unique stylistic touch while maintaining their elegance. Louis Sognot (1892-1970) was a Parisian designer influenced by Art Deco and Cubist aesthetics, which imbued his work with a distinctive style while remaining functional. He designed the furniture and interior decoration for ocean liners and collaborated with other renowned designers such as Le Corbusier and Charlotte Perriand. He died in 1970 in Paris, France.
