Vintage framed and mounted tin-lithographed advertising sign for Nichol Kola, a spicy-sweet cola introduced in 1936 by H.R. Nicholson Company of Baltimore, Maryland.
The bold red, black, and cream design reads “Drink Nichol Kola” and advertises “Vitamin B1 Added,” a five-cent price, and “America's Taste Sensation.” A stylized uniformed figure and concentric circular graphics complement the strong Art Deco typography.
The tin sign is mounted within a steel frame fitted with two curved feet, allowing it to stand independently as a floor or sidewalk display. Its narrow vertical proportions and high-contrast graphics make it an eye-catching example of early American soft-drink advertising.
