Description: An antique clear pressed glass covered compote in Doyle & Co.’s No. 400 Banded Prism Bar pattern. Introduced around 1883, the design features bold vertical prisms, a band of stars, a faceted lid knob, and a fluted pedestal foot. Its classic American pattern glass design makes a beautiful display piece and can be used to hold wrapped candies or small keepsakes. Includes the fitted glass lid.
Note: “The clear glass has developed a subtle purple hue over time, adding to its antique character.” see last photo.
Dimensions: Approximately 8” W × 8” D × 12.5 H overall. Foot measures approximately 4.5” across.
