The rooster is formed from individually shaped sheet metal elements, with an unusual openwork body created from rows of twisted metal strips that give the piece wonderful texture and dimension.

The sculptural silhouette features a hand-shaped comb and head, applied wings, dramatically layered sweeping tail feathers, and individually formed legs and feet. Visible variations in the metalwork and attachment points highlight its handcrafted nature and give the rooster the appealing individuality associated with traditional folk-art pieces.

The metal (sheet steel) has a rich dark brown, rust-toned patina and painted with brown and white accents. It has natural surface variations, wear and oxidation that complement its rustic character. A striking decorative accent for a country, farmhouse, primitive, traditional or eclectic interior.
