This a beautifully designed antique sofa in dark mahogany veneer with movement in the stain showcasing it's beautiful lines with a gloss finish. This was made by cabinetmakers to be a show piece sofa. Yet, it is also comfortable. It has simple, massive lines and the curves have lovely detail with a sleek design. Even with it's age it is in excellent condition, solid and very heavy. There is one wood seam approximately 1 inch in the back where the wood was seamed together that is not fully flush. It would take a keen eye to really see this. It can be easily fixed. It has been displayed & used in 6 homes over the past 20 years so perhaps that is from the frequent moves. The white fabric has stained throughout the years of use. It would need to be recovered. But, this gives the new owner a chance to recover he sofa in their personal style & taste. The sofa a piece of art work because of it's chic style. It will enhance any type of room.
