The round stool is crafted in an Organic Modern style featuring a solid drum-form base. The form is crafted out of seven stacked bent rattan poles bound together by hand-wrapped wicker lashings. The rattan has a warm light honey-toned natural finish with the characteristic surface variation and growth markings of natural rattan. The circular top is fitted with a plush and loose seat cushion, finished in a neutral oatmeal tone with fine white pinstripes and a welt piping around the border. The versatile piece is crafted in a mix of Mid-Century and Organic Modern, Tropical Palm Beach, and Coastal styles, similar to organic rattan pieces made by McGuire, and Michael Taylor. The piece is well-suited for use as an ottoman, pouf, low side table, accent piece, or as a short stool in a variety of spaces.
