The Danish design house Gubi is known worldwide for combining iconic forms, premium materials, and handcrafted perfection into true statement pieces. The Moon table, designed by Space Copenhagen, is the perfect example. The design impresses with its captivating form: the gently rounded, oval-shaped tabletop meets two substantial, semi-cylindrical base legs. What particularly fascinates us about this design is the structural beauty of the bases. The legs feature a fine, vertical grooved texture (fluting) that gives the dark wood a wonderfully vibrant feel and a fascinating interplay of light and shadow. Despite its imposing presence, the rounded edges make the table appear extremely harmonious and approachable. Enveloped in a deep black-brown, the exquisite solid wood brings a calming, grounding warmth and a commanding presence to your living space. The subtly translucent wood grain underscores the natural character and quality of the material. Thanks to its generous oval shape, the Moon table offers ample space for convivial gatherings, long dinners, or inspiring conversations with friends and family—a timeless centerpiece that perfectly combines modern design and inviting elegance.
