These armchairs exemplify Jacques Adnet's signature style, characterized by the combination of metal and saddle leather. Inspired by luxury leather goods, the designer introduced the use of leather in furniture as early as the 1930s, developing a design language that is at once rigorous, functional, and sophisticated. His leather armchairs with metal frames from the 1950s are among his most sought-after creations.
Good condition. Leather patina, marks, and superficial cracks consistent with age. Stable frame. Wear consistent with domestic use.
