Egon Eiermann was one of the most influential German architects, furniture designers, and university professors of the post-war modern era. His strictly functionalist and finely detailed designs create a unique, timeless aesthetic. His pioneering work significantly shaped both the architectural landscape of the young Federal Republic of Germany and modern German furniture design.
The SE 68 multi-purpose chair from 1950 is one of the most important German design classics of the post-war period. The minimalist chair is characterized by its delicate tubular steel frame with organically shaped plywood seat and backrest.
The set consists of five chairs. The frames vary slightly as they come from different production runs. All show significant signs of wear, hence the low price. One chair still has the Wilde & Spieth sticker attached. This piece has an attribution mark,
