The case is constructed in solid oak with a moulded overhanging top. Each side door is carved with a fifteen-panel grid of raised square blocks, and a carved frieze of oval reeded motifs runs along the top edge of the case. The central section holds two doors set with leaded, coloured glass in an arched lattice pattern, opening to adjustable shelving. Below sit two drawers with dovetailed joints and brass drop handles, running smoothly on their runners. The whole stands on square tapered legs joined by a stretcher.

The carved geometric door panels place this piece within the Danish Brutalist oak idiom of the period, while the leaded glass and reeded detailing point to an earlier cabinetmaker vocabulary carried through into a 1960s form. The result reads equally well in a Scandinavian Modern interior or alongside Rustic and Art Deco furnishings. A substantial and well-preserved example.
