Made by The Gunlocke Company of Wayland, New York -- the American maker that has furnished the White House since 1902 (maker's label photographed under the seat) -- it features scrolled arms, hand-set nailhead trim, and a rich, supple patina. Fill is per the original law tag: 10% curled horse hair, 25% blended cotton felt, 65% urethane foam, with a seat cushion of urethane and gray goose down. The seat is deep and comfortable, and the frame is structurally sound and solid. Condition: very good vintage condition with normal wear -- light scuffs and creasing consistent with age.
