Distinctive vintage Mid-Century Modern hamper crafted from wood and finished in a soft pale blue-white paint. The tapered rectangular form features a repeating pattern of evenly spaced perforated openings, creating a graphic geometric surface while allowing ventilation.
The hamper features a hinged lift-top lid and a contrasting darker painted interior. Its clean architectural silhouette and perforated detailing make it an unusually sculptural example of vintage functional storage.
Originally designed as a laundry hamper, this versatile piece can also be used as concealed storage for linens, blankets, toys, or other household items. The compact footprint makes it particularly well suited to a bedroom, bathroom, dressing area, or entryway.
Mid-20th-century / Mid-Century Modern, circa 1950s–1960s.
