Their curule-shaped X-shaped legs—a direct descendant of the Roman sella curulis—connected by a turned stretcher, lend each piece a rare architectural presence. The high back rises majestically, crowned with lion heads carved in the round and finials of foliate flames, framing a panel of cream and gold damask fabric with floral and acanthus leaf motifs, secured by delicate gilt brass upholstery tacks.

A gallery of turned balusters, framed by carved pilasters, complements a generously upholstered seat of the same precious damask, resting on a frame adorned with a central carved medallion. The warm patina of the walnut reveals subtle reflections that only develop with time.

In good overall condition, with slight wear to the fabric consistent with their age and authentic character. The fabric can be replaced upon request.
