Elegant vintage porcelain figurine of a fish, manufactured by Metzler & Ortloff, Ilmenau, Germany, dating from the 1920s. The finely modelled fish is depicted in motion, with beautifully sculpted flowing fins and a delicately textured surface suggesting individual scales.
The soft ivory and pale grey colour palette, combined with the glossy glaze, gives the piece a refined and understated Art Deco character. A distinctive decorative object for collectors of early 20th-century German porcelain and animal figurines. This piece has an attribution mark,
