Impressive XL wall sconce made of Murano glass, Italy, 1960s–70s.
The piece stands out for its large size, 65 cm high, and the richness of the glasswork. The thick, transparent diffuser features pronounced vertical ribs and a textured surface that captures, refracts, and distributes light, creating interesting effects and adding visual depth.
Its elongated shape and clean lines contrast with the organic texture of the glass, giving it a strong sculptural presence even when it is off. A characteristic design of mid-20th-century Italian lighting, which, thanks to its understated elegance, can also be integrated into contemporary interiors.
At one end, the glass has a small hole for the electrical cable. Its placement and finish suggest it is part of the original manufacturing process and not a later modification.
Its scale makes it particularly attractive as a statement wall sconce in entryways, living rooms, spacious hallways, or interior design and hospitality projects.
It is in very good overall condition. The glass is intact, with no visible missing pieces or noticeable cracks, and shows only slight signs of use consistent with its age.
