The set is executed in clear crystal with deeply cut geometric edges and delicate hand-engraved floral and foliate decoration. The broad, flattened form of the decanter is characteristic of interwar Central European design, combining strong architectural geometry with refined decorative engraving.

Several photographs show the decanter filled with red wine solely to highlight the engraved decoration and the optical qualities of the crystal; the glass itself is completely clear and colorless.

Both the decanter and stopper bear the same hand-engraved number 15, indicating that the stopper was individually matched and fitted to this particular decanter during manufacture.
