each lamp features a circular, lacquered metal body surrounded by a striking series of long, metallic rays, creating the characteristic sunburst silhouette that gives this type of design its name. The pair is particularly striking due to the contrast between the two pieces: one finished in black and the other in a gold tone, combined with polished metal elements.

the central area is articulated by several concentric circles around the light source, adding depth and a distinct graphic character to the design. The radial arrangement of the metal elements gives the lamps a strong sculptural presence, even when they are off.

this unusual and particularly decorative pair is representative of mid-20th-century italian lighting and has certain features that anticipate the space age aesthetic of later decades.

both lamps have been recently rewired and each has an e27 socket.
