Its presence invites interpretation, sparking personal connections that range from echoes of the natural world to traces of ancient cultures, or even something quietly otherworldly. Subtle hints of art nouveau elegance weave through its design, recalling an era where decoration and artistry were inseparable.

beyond its striking appearance, morchella is fully functional, casting a warm, ambient glow that enriches the atmosphere of any space. It balances expressive design with purpose, transforming interiors through both light and form.

the morchella chandelier is made from mycelium based composite (mbc), an innovative organic material, and finished with a natural, mineral coating.

mycelium is the underground network through which forests communicate. A branching web of threads that binds, nourishes, and renews. Combined with hemp fibre, mycelium grows into a material of surprising rigidity, warmth, and textural depth.

the manufacturing process, in the netherlands, is as harmless to people and the environment as the material itself, being completey free of toxins or synthetics. And at the end of its life, each piece of mbc composts fully, returning to the same earth that made it.

the final product is a solid, dry, and inert product. It contains zero live biological agents, zero active spores, and no organic matter capable of regeneration. The product poses no phytosanitary or bio-security risk to the importing country.
