Hand-blown on the historic island of Murano, Italy, these pieces were imported during the 1950s–1960s by the prestigious boutique importer Weil Ceramics & Glass of New York.Each individual dish showcases a masterful execution of the legendary Italian "Avventurina" (Aventurine) technique, swirling genuine metallic copper flecks into a dramatic, combed feather pattern of deep obsidian black, vibrant cobalt, and rich turquoise blue glass. The organic teardrop forms feature integrated rests along the rims, allowing them to function beautifully as intended or serve as luxurious catchalls for jewelry and small treasures.This set is an exceptional find for collectors: two of the four pieces retain their original "Venetian Weil Murano - Italy" silver foil labels and remain housed inside their original, vintage presentation grid box.
