The deep relief carving brings a quiet, tactile presence to contemporary interiors, shifting with the light throughout the day.

This panel brings together two auspicious animals — a deer, a traditional symbol of longevity and prosperity, and an ox, representing diligence and harvest. Both are rendered in high relief with traces of original gilt and deep crimson lacquer, retaining their authentic aged surface. One corner of the deer motif shows an old loss, a detail we have left untouched: it is a fingerprint of history, not a flaw to be corrected.

Mounted on a solid wood backplate with a 2 cm floating gap, the piece is ready to hang with pre-installed hardware. Ideal for an entryway, above a console, or in a reading nook.
