This chair has been in my family for as long as I can remember and was inherited from my mother. … Read more This chair has been in my family for as long as I can remember and was inherited from my mother. I believe it may previously have belonged to my grandmother, although its earlier history is unknown. Based on its style and construction, it appears to be a late-19th- to early-20th-century carved mahogany Rococo Revival armchair. It is in very good overall condition for its age, with no major visible imperfections. There is some old damage/repair beneath the seat, possibly where an arm or frame joint came loose at some point, but this is not readily noticeable in normal use. The chair has been reupholstered, and I do not have information regarding the maker or original provenance. See less
