Vintage mid-century modern credenza attributed to designer Renzo Rutili, circa 1950s.
This striking four-door credenza features a rich dark wood finish, architectural case construction, and two ornate brass escutcheons with intricate Asian-inspired detailing. The interior offers substantial storage with two distinct compartments: one side features a spacious cabinet with a shelf, while the opposite side houses three pull-out drawers, including a divided upper drawer with felt lining.
Measuring approximately 60" W × 18" D × 31" H, the credenza rests on an integrated raised base with squared legs and retains its original decorative brass hardware.
An identical example in both design and dimensions has previously been offered on the designer furniture market as a credenza attributed to Renzo Rutili.
Attribution: No maker's label or signature has been located on this particular piece; therefore, it is being offered as attributed to Renzo Rutili, consistent with an identical documented example.
Condition: Presented in original vintage condition with visible age-related wear throughout, including scratches, scuffs, finish loss, edge and corner wear, and areas of wear to the top surface. The brass hardware retains its aged patina. The interior also shows signs of use consistent with age. Please review all photographs carefully for condition. The credenza has intentionally not been refinished, preserving its vintage character and original finish
