Crafted from dense, richly grained hardwood (likely rosewood or huali wood), this large rectangular tray features a stunning "Mother of Pearl" (shell) inlay depicting a classic Chinese scene: a pheasant (or peacock) perched among blooming flowers.

Key Features:

Auspicious Inlay: The centerpiece is a vibrant, multi-colored shell inlay showing a bird with a long, elegant tail perched on a branch, surrounded by vibrant pink, yellow, and white blossoms. This is a classic "Birds and Flowers" (花鸟) motif, symbolizing beauty, wealth, and good fortune.

Stunning Wood Grain: The tray is made from a rich, amber-toned wood with a spectacular, swirling grain pattern (often called "ghost face" grain). The surface has a smooth, aged patina that highlights its vintage character.

Copper-Bound Edges: The edges of the tray are reinforced with copper binding (包铜), adding durability and a subtle metallic contrast to the wood.

Versatile Use: Perfect for serving tea, displaying jewelry, organizing vanity items, or as a standalone decorative centerpiece on a coffee table or console. See less
