The tall, sculptural ewer form has a softly bulbous body, elongated neck, graceful integrated handle, and flared rim finished with gold. The glossy brown ground is dramatically intersected by irregular white linear/geometric decoration, with a vivid turquoise accent adding a fantastic pop of color.

A particularly strong example of the bold, highly decorative West German art pottery aesthetic of the mid-20th century. The piece works beautifully as a purely decorative object, even without flowers, and would make a fantastic accent in a Mid-Century Modern, Space Age, eclectic, or maximalist interior.

The underside bears a Germany marking consistent with Fohr Keramik production. Comparable Fohr pieces with similar geometric/volcanic decoration are documented in mid-century German pottery listings and auction records.
