A handsome matched pair of vintage Royal Copenhagen push-up candleholders, also known as chambersticks, combining blue-and-white Danish porcelain with aged brass mechanisms. Each features a hand-decorated Royal Copenhagen Blue Fluted porcelain saucer, a tall brass candle tube with adjustable push-up mechanism, and its original removable ring handle.
The porcelain bases bear the Royal Copenhagen crown and three-wave factory mark, “Denmark,” and green-painted form number 719. The three blue waves have been a Royal Copenhagen authenticity mark since the factory’s founding, while the “Denmark” wording indicates production after 1923. The iconic cobalt-blue floral decoration and fluted styling offer a classic Scandinavian look that works beautifully in traditional, English country, coastal, cottage, and collected interiors.
These are wonderfully functional for tapers and equally compelling displayed as decorative objects on a mantel, dining table, bedside table, or within a blue-and-white porcelain collection. The warm, time-softened brass patina gives the pair genuine vintage character.
