A tall, two-door wooden armoire featuring a distressed dark finish and multi-paneled cabinet doors. The upper cornice is heavily molded, and the piece shows traditional mortise and tenon joinery indicative of rustic craftsmanship.
History
Crafted in India, these armoires are traditionally built from reclaimed architectural elements, such as old doors, beams, and floorboards salvaged from historic buildings and havelis. Artisans repurpose these aged timbers to create functional storage furniture that preserves the rich patina and character of the original wood. They have become popular globally in interior design for adding ethnic warmth and sustainable rustic charm to modern living spaces.
